So far I have read 24 Laws out of the 48 Laws, I had to stop reading the reading half way through because of the repetitive nature of the laws and the main theme revolving around the same topic. I enjoyed reading every law but at certain point the book was starting to get into my head 🧐.

The main theme of the book revolves around POWER 🔋 and how everybody needs it or even crave it and that achieving power is the ultimate state which a human being would need to achieve even tho if people do not agree about it 🤦‍♂️.  I have my opinions about this statement, I agree that we are we as a human being have came far along from the time where we had to fight in order to survive and survival is the only “thing”, later people fought each other in order to rule and expand “their own types” the classical wars, we all know the drama of those….

And coming to 21st century, we might possess some or many of those traits in ourselves but times have changed, we do not have hunt in order to eat or have to fight over land, sure their are different battles which people go through but different circumstances need different responses in order to solve them, 

The book have many valuable lessons which could be imparted into daily lives and especially in corporate/ startup/ business world, but a a lot  of it is unnecessary for someone who is not trying to be the best, in short, people who are happy 😊

I would be lying if do not mention that some laws of book felt psychotic, for example the law in particular talking about hiding your true nature in order to get ahead, I do not agree with this law, but in terms of how it was written. I agree with the IDEA 💡 what author was trying to communicate that, we have to pretend a lot to get somewhere which is generally true in corporate world or always have to be on our toes or pro active, which might not be the base nature of people in general but the dominating writing of Robert makes it sound like 

“Every thing is a war and things will go against you if you do not strong actions”, 

I understand that some people might agree with it this type of writing, and even some part of my knowledge did appreciate it, but it’s too much enforcing, then trying to make a point. 

👏 The part which I appreciate the most 

The book is completely filled with examples from history, More than the laws and the power dynamic which is the main theme, the book gave me more knowledge about historical events, people and culture. 

The book presented such a great examples to make points that I was almost shocked, every law presented had a “Transgression of the law” which roughly means, an act that goes against a law, rule, or code of conduct; an offence. Which as it is pretty self explanatory i.e what happens if you don’t follow the law or do not keep it in mind, this section was always presented with examples from historical leaders, kings and ruler plus events and renowned case studies. 

After transgression, the author preset the “Observance of the law”, which displays the success story of people and events which followed and implemented the law and what ever the outcomes. 

Later the reader will find “Interpretation” and “Reversal” which are pretty self explanatory i.e the meaning behind the law and how not following the law could also be beneficial in some case. 

The book could be used as a general guideline to learn about some techniques and strategies which are based on general human psychology principal and could be of advantageous in some situation, I will surely read the rest of the 24 laws and will write more conscience review in order to close my thoughts, for now I had to stop reading the book, else my mind would have clogged with similar type of information.
